About

I am currently an MBA student in Sustainable Management at the Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco.  I worked for over a decade in technology startups, working my way from IT management to electronic prototyping to international customer relations and training.  The international travel that I did as part of that work opened my eyes to humanity's great diversity and promise, as well as the great challenges that we face.  That, coupled with my lifelong love of the natural world, prompted me to change direction.  I left my job and studied natural history and conservation biology at UC Berkeley, earning a BA in Environmental Sciences.  Through my studies at Presidio Graduate School, I'm learning the management skills I need to go out and change the world.  Hopefully for the better.

I created this site as a place to show my photographs and talk about my myriad interests, especially as they relate to healthy urban ecosystems, slow technology, and other means of re-engineering the future.
